As some of you may be aware, Fanfare De Bec has been in training at Worth A Shot Farm (www.worthashotfarm.com) since Sept. 17th in preparation for the 2012 KNN Grading (www.knab.dk) on Oct. 16th. We made the four hour trip from NC up to Northern Virginia at Cedar Creek Stables (www.cedarcreekstables.us) the day before to let Fannie settle.
We couldn't be prouder of our mare, for only the second time trailering alone (as well as in a small two horse straight load trailer) she loaded up without a fuss and settled in to her stall without any excitement. The next morning she stood quietly in the wash rack and for the first time being braided, suffered it quietly.
Her Knabstrupper breeding was shining through for the whole event, Fanfare's behavior could only be decribed as exemplary especially considering that before yesterday, she had never been off the property much, seen a mirror, or been around so many horses and people.
Fanfare scored 2nd Premium Sports type (8778-67-677-7) with the judges commenting on how well prepared she was. We were even fortunate enough to be told by one judge that she might just be the most prepared Knabstrupper to be presented.
Thanks to Melyni Worth for hosting the Knabstrupperforeningen for Danmark event.
My heartfelt GRATITUDE to Worth A Shot Farm for all the amazing work they did to prepare my girl- Couldn't have done it without you!!!
And I have to thank Mr. Robert for hauling Fannie from WASF to CCS and then back to home, he was a huge help to me and my parents!!!
Also, a HUGE thank you to Ashby for allowing me to own this awesome girl, and to my parents for which, none of this would have been possible.
